Field notes from a month of testing F-03 Verge on paving that never quite dries.

Cities rarely flood. They stay damp: puddles gathering at a kerb, film on a metal stair, the grating outside a station that is slick for hours after the rain stops. F-03 Verge was designed for those conditions rather than for the trail.
A membrane you forget about
The upper is a smooth synthetic over a weather membrane, cut to mid height so splashes stay out without the stiffness of a boot. There are no exposed seams across the forefoot, which is usually where water gets in first.
Channels, not spikes
The outsole lugs are chevrons with open channels between them. On wet stone the channels push water out from under the foot; on grating the chevron edges catch the bars. We kept the lugs at 4.5 mm so the shoe still walks quietly on a dry office floor.
