A-01 / Design intent
Built around the commute
A-01 Drift pairs a split-density city sole with a close GridWeave upper. The two foam layers meet along the DualArc line: firmer below for stable footing, softer above for the long middle of the day.
We mapped a typical day, from a station stair to a platform edge to a kerb, and gave each surface of the shoe one of those jobs. Select a number to see which layer does what.
01 · Heel
DualArc midsole
The softer Ember layer rises into a cradle around the heel; the firmer Carbon carrier stays flat and steady beneath it.
02 · Midfoot
VectorPlate
A thin plate between the two foams, only through the midfoot. It resists twisting on kerbs and stair edges.
03 · Upper
GridWeave upper
A square-grid knit, dense at the heel and lacing for hold, more open over the toes for air.

Care
- Knit. Brush dry dirt off with a soft brush, then wipe with cool water and a little mild soap.
- Sole. Rinse the outsole channels; a toothbrush clears grit from the flex grooves.
- Drying. Remove the insole and air-dry away from radiators and direct sun.
- Machines. No washing machine or dryer: heat distorts the DualArc foams.

Carbon knit over an Ember DualArc layer. The heel cradle carries the colour up to the collar.

Tonal bone throughout, with a Signal Lime StreetGrip outsole that only shows in stride.
